Editors  

The editor is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to Russian Psychological Journal will be published. The editor is guided by the policy of the Editorial Board of the journal and is limited to the current legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. Editors should not have a conflict of interest in the articles they are considering for publication. If the editor believes that there is likely to be a conflict of interest regarding the processing of the manuscript, all decisions on this manuscript will be made by the Editorial Board. Editors are responsible for the anonymity of reviewers and/or authors according to the highest academic standards.

Editors of Russian Psychological Journal are those working with all materials submitted to the journal – namely, Managing Editor, Executive Editor, and Technical Editor.

Editorial Board, Editorial Council, and Chief Scientific Consultant

The journal’s Editorial Board and Editorial Council comprise distinguished scholars and experts in various fields of psychology and education from various countries. Together with external experts the Editorial Board members review all materials submitted for publication and provide advisory assistance to the editors of the journal in ensuring the highest standards for publication. The Editorial Council members carry out general management of the editorial process, monitor compliance with the journal policies, as well as the achievement of the main aims and objectives of the journal. The Editorial Council members consider and approve final manuscripts for publication in the Journal next issue. The Chief Scientific Consultant considers controversial or complex issues regarding the compliance of the content submitted for publication with the research areas covered by the journal.

Editors’ Professional Duties:

1. The editors of Russian Psychological Journal accept for consideration previously unpublished articles, which are original research on any subject, corresponding to the general direction of the journal. The editors reserve the right to reject an article if the percentage of its uniqueness is below 80%.

2. The editors of the journal are responsible for making decisions regarding the proposed articles. The reason for the decision by the editorial board to accept the article for publication or refuse is exclusively scientific significance of the article, its novelty, relevance, and significance of results and conclusions.

3. The editors and editorial board members have no right to disclose information about articles received by the editorial board to anyone, except for a narrow circle of persons directly related to the consideration and publication of the article. Unpublished materials disclosed in the submitted manuscript should not be used in the editor's own research without the author’s explicit written consent. Any violation of copyright by the persons responsible for the editorial and publishing process is unacceptable. The use of the original text is allowed only after the official publication of the article in the implementation of the correct citation in accordance with generally accepted requirements.

4. The editor must evaluate a manuscript by its intellectual content, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnicity, nationality and political views of the authors.

5. If the journal editors learn about facts or statements about inappropriate publishing behavior, they should consider this fact or statement objectively and impartially.

6. Editors are ready for corrections, explanation, rejections and excuse when necessary.
